If you’re a fan of Teen Mom, then you’ve probably already heard the shocking news that Leah Messer and Jaylan Mobley have split.
News of the split came just two months after Leah and Jaylan announced their engagement, and rumors about the cause of the split have been circulating non-stop.
Leah isn’t ready to talk about where her relationship went wrong just yet, but that doesn’t mean she’s walking away from the spotlight entirely.
In fact, Ms. Messer is currently at the center of a new controversy, this one stemming from her first appearance on Instagram after the breakup.

Just two days after she and Jaylan announced their split, Leah got drunk and went on Instagram Live with some of her friends.
She eventually convinced co-stars Briana DeJesus and Maci Bookout to join her on the live stream and, well… things got a little weird.
Towards the end of the session, Leah’s friends wisely encouraged her to “say goodnight” and sign off, and that’s when things got complicated.

“No… no, nigga, I’m not going to say goodnight to you,” Leah allegedly told one of her friends.
Now, many viewers were left with the impression that Leah uttered a horrible racial slur.
For more than a week, Messer refused to speak on the matter, and her silence seemed to reinforce the theory that she had been caught saying something truly awful.

Now, however, Leah appears to have broken her silence by commenting on a post on Teen Mom Chatter’s Instagram fan page.
“I have never said the N-word and never would. I said no no Nicole no,” Leah wrote, according to the UK tabloid. Sun.
Clearly, Leah hoped that was the end of the matter, but some fans don’t believe her explanation.

“But. You absolutely said the N-word, Leah,” one response read.
For the most part, though, it seems people are willing to give Messer the benefit of the doubt.
“He said he was saying ‘Nicole.’ I believe you a little. It’s very easy to mishear that kind of thing,” one person theorized.

“I couldn’t hear it at all. I believe he never said it in that video. But I’m sure 5 or 10 years ago I probably used to say it,” said another, adding:
“She didn’t say it. You can hear her say Nicole, but she slurs her words because she’s drunk.”
A third fan just wanted the speculation to end:

“You are all fools with all this nonsense!” this person wrote.
“She would never use that word, never!! You will twist anything. Damn idiots need headphones.”
Another commenter, claiming to be the “Nicole” who appeared in the video, added: “Okay now people are REALLY coming…this is clearly NOT true.”

Leah clearly doesn’t plan to comment further on the matter, but a rep for the reality star responded that she has “no further comment at this time” regarding the video.
As for why Leah and Jaylan broke up, fans remain convinced that Mobley was caught cheating on his fiancée.
Leah has remained silent on the matter until now.
But something tells us that this story is far from over.
