The ladies of the Kardashian family have always been fans of Halloween.
That makes sense, of course, since it’s not every day they have an excuse to dress up in outrageous outfits, spend hours doing their hair and makeup, and posting sexy selfies on Instagram.
Now that I think about it, that it is every day for Kim and company, but you get the point.
Regardless, while the whole family seems to enjoy celebrating what is probably Kanye’s least favorite holiday (it just seems like something he would call satanic), it’s Kendall who really goes all out on October 31st.

The supermodel’s birthday is November 3, and she often combines the two celebrations with a big party and an unforgettable costume.
In the past, Kendall has found herself at the center of some Halloween controversies, like the year she dressed as Pam Anderson in barbed wire (up).
The costume wasn’t the problem; rather, fans took offense at Kenny’s decision to throw a massive party at the height of the pandemic.
On Saturday night, Kendall provoked other debate, but this year it was all about her outfit.

Yeah, as you can see, Kendall decided to dress up (no pun intended) and go as Jessie from toy story.
“Well aren’t you just the sweetest space toy?” Kendall captioned the photo above.
Needless to say, this was a much edgier take on the character than fans are used to, and the costume drew a very mixed response from commenters.

Naturally, Kendall received a lot of support from her A-list friends and family.
“Awwwwwwwwww my baby,” Khloe Kardashian commented.
“So good!” she echoed Kendall’s model best friend, Gigi Hadid.

But in a development that Kendall likely anticipated, the costume also drew quite a bit of criticism.
“Ruined my childhood,” one commenter wrote.
“Ruins a favorite kids movie,” added another.

“Sexualizing children’s movies should never be okay…” chimed in a third.
Okay, obviously Kendall is not to blame for ruining anyone’s childhood.
But one could argue that there’s something a little weird, and maybe even inappropriate, about dressing up in edgy outfits inspired by a movie aimed at kids.
Kendall Jenner is often considered the calmest member of her family. But lately, the model has been talking like never before.
Kendall probably reasoned that from the first toy story The movie was released in 1995 (the year Kendall was born!), OG fans of the franchise are now well into their adult years.
Whatever the case, she certainly didn’t mean to traumatize or offend anyone with her outfit.
Still, Kendall will probably play it safe next year and leave the sexy Buzz Lightyear costume in the closet.
